Refresh Yourself With A Healthy Cup Of Iced Matcha Green Tea
Matcha green tea is fantastic as a drink to be alert ( it possesses about 70 mg of caffeine per cup ) and offers many health benefits, simply because it contains up to 10 to 20 times more antioxidants compared to other types of tea.
• Fresh filtered water
• Two teaspoons matcha green tea
• Ice cubes
• Optional: a slice of ginger, lemon or lime if desired more bitter; Add stevia, agave or honey if you prefer sweet or mint for a more refreshing taste
Pour the 2 teaspoons matcha tea to make about 300-500 ml in a glass jar with lid or a shaker. Fill it with filtered water and ice and water. Add a few slices of lemon, lime or ginger (optional). Or sweeteners. For a more refreshing flavor, add a few mint leaves. Cover the jar or shaker well and shake. Pour over a glass of ice and enjoy it immediately.
Matcha tea does not “dissolve”, but is suspended in the liquid, so after a while, it will rest on the bottom and remains as a green pond in the lower part of the glass. Just remove before drinking.
