Ingredients (for 2 people):
• 1 cup (250 ml.) Of oat flakes
• 1/2 glass of water (approx. 125 ml)
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1/2 carrot
• 1 tablespoon cumin powder
• 1/4 onion
• 1 trickles of soy sauce
• 1 bouquet of parsley
• Black pepper
• Bread crumbs
• Olive oil

Preparation:
In a large bowl, we put 1 cup (250 ml.) of oat flakes. Finely chop the garlic, onion, and carrot and mix everything together with the oats. Add a spoonful of cumin powder, some ground pepper, and finely chopped parsley. We put the half glass of water at room temperature and a dash of soy sauce. Mix the dough well with a spoon or with your hands. The important thing in this recipe is to control the consistency of the dough. For this, we can help us with breadcrumbs. Then add little breadcrumbs to absorb excess water (if it is dry, we can add a little more liquid) and knead well. The dough on the burgers should be a bit sticky.

While we heat the oil where we will fry our oatmeal, we are forming the hamburgers with our hands. We can, before frying, to coat them with little more breadcrumbs, as well as a crusty exterior texture. Fry in a frying pan with enough oil to bathe the hamburgers halfway, as we will turn them around once you toast a side. It is easy to know when to remove them from the oil, as they acquire a characteristic roasted color.

Let the excess oil drain on an absorbent paper and serve warm, accompanied by salad and potatoes.

The measures of this recipe give for 2 people (6 small burgers). If we prefer, we can cook the burgers in the oven, so that the fat content will be practically non-existent. The carrot and the onion are optional, we can put any vegetables that we like, maybe some nuts or other nuts, some mushrooms, etc … Yes, all good chopped. We have not put salt in the recipe because the soy sauce usually has salt added. If you have dispensed with the soy sauce, a pinch of salt would be reasonable. An interesting variant is, instead of in the form of a hamburger, to make rounded meatloaf with the mass of oats and accompany with a homemade tomato sauce.
