Too much sitting during the day can be damaging for the spine, it also can weaken the heart, furthermore can lead to obesity, diabetes, reduce a speed of the blood flow, increases cholesterol levels, and it might lead to cancer.

A large part of Americans use the Internet on a daily basis (according to statistics 80% of Americans), and about 90% of the households own at least one computer. Some experts claim that the number of the users of a personal computer is rising by 10 million annually.

Those experts also say that 40% of the people that have back pain issues is a direct result of bad sitting posture and the very long use of computers. Many people around the world have jobs which force them to be into a sitting position for most of the time and 8-10 hours in front of the Computer. Sitting in front of a computer (in a bad sitting position) is extremely harmful to children because that can develop damaged spines, kyphosis and scoliosis.

In this modern era children start to play video games from very young age and that can lead to a great damage of their development. According to researchers sitting just 2 hours daily in front of the computer increases the risk of spine, neck, and joint damage.

So it is recommended for children younger than 12 to not seat in front of the computer more than 2 hours daily. Furthermore, whenever you feel pain in the spine and muscles, stand up and stretch, move around the room to protect yourself from further complications.
