Healthy three-ingredient Snack Ideas That Are Actually Good For You
Snacking is an excellent way to obtain some extra nutrients, to brighten up your day, and keep your metabolism going between meals. But finding the right snack isn’t always an easy task. So in that order, we are going to present you a few three-ingredient recipes for snacks that are actually good for you. Check them out.
1. Almond Butter Granola Bars
• 3/4 cup raw honey
• 1 cup raw almond butter
• 3 cups old fashioned oats
The first step is to heat the almond butter & honey in a saucepan on low heat until melted. After that stir & remove from heat. Now you need to pour that mixture over oats in a large bowl and stir thoroughly. Pour & press batter into a 9-inch baking pan and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove & let cool. Enjoy!
2. Banana Bites
• 2 tbsp almond butter
• One banana
• One whole wheat tortilla
Spread almond butter in an even layer on a whole wheat wrap. Be sure to get all the way to the edges. Place a banana at the end of the wrap and roll it up. Use a sharp knife to gently cut the wrap into slices.
3. Chocolate Hazelnut Energy Bites
• 2 tbsp cocoa powder
• ¾ cup dates, pitted and soaked
• ½ cup toasted hazelnuts, shelled and peeled (or use peanuts)
Add all of the ingredients in food processor and blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Roll into balls. Keep this snack in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or freeze for 6 months.
4. PB&J Yogurt Cups
• ½ cup vanilla yogurt
• One tbsp crunchy peanut butter
• Two tsp jam
In a small bowl mix yogurt and peanut butter until they become smooth. Top with jam and some crushed peanuts.
5. Cherry Chocolate Trail Mix
• One cup roasted salted almonds
• ½ cup dried cherries
• ¼ cup chocolate chips
Mix all 3 ingredients in a bowl and stir. Create individual portions to prevent over indulging.
